Laminate tubes are reviewed by the role of each layer and the required protection between the product and the external environment.
EVOH may be used as a barrier material within a multi-layer structure; it is not a separate product. The final structure depends on the formula and target requirements.

LAMINATE STRUCTURE
A tube body formed by joining multi-layer web
Laminate web is rolled and its longitudinal edges are joined before the shoulder and neck are formed. Unlike an extruded seamless PE body, a laminate tube has a longitudinal seam.
The web structure varies with protection, appearance, and use conditions. No single barrier performance is implied for every laminate tube.

The process connects body forming, head and neck molding, decoration, cap fitting, inspection, and packing.

Are laminate tubes the same as 5-layer PE tubes?
No. A laminate tube body is made by joining multi-layer web. A 5-layer PE tube is coextruded into a seamless body.
